Nutley Church of England Primary School

Welcome

SCHOOL CREED

OUR SCHOOL

This is our school
Let peace dwell here
Let the room be full of contentment
Let love abide here
Love of one another
Love of mankind
Love of life itself
And love of God
Let us remember
That as many hands build a house
So many hearts make a school

Many hands

Nutley is a co-educational voluntary controlled Church of England School taking children from 4-11 years of age.

Situated in the Ashdown Forest of East Sussex an area of outstanding natural beauty full of history and bluebell woods the original sandstone building of Nutley School was erected in 1853. Together with St James the Lesser Church it has been the heart of Nutley Village for over 150 years.

The building has recently been extended and offers excellent facilities including a large main hall with kitchen, fully equipped ICT suite, new library and teaching areas.

Outside each class tends to its own raised bed in the walled gardens. We have a hardsurface marked out for netball and playtime games, wooden decking and seating under a shady pergola, a separate woodchipped area with a playhouse for infants and a large sports/playing field.
